Looks Like Stella Got Her Groove Back

WE DID IT!! We made it to the end of the work year! The day we close our office for the year is always such an exciting and meaningful day, and this year it is especially so. I think we all deserve a pat on the back for making it to this day.

In 2020, we took on the challenge to #bebold. It was fun and empowering to spend the year choosing bold when making conscious choices. On a whim, we also picked a color scheme for the year–hot pink and magenta–which you saw starting with our News Years Cards and showed up in all our gifting this year.

We were so inspired all year by our color scheme and our motto, that by September of this year, we were planning for 2021. Without question, we adopted sunshine yellow as our color for 2021; no surprise to learn last week that Pantone agrees with us. We have been living with yellow since September, and let me tell you, it makes you feel, well, happier. It puts a smile on your face. For 2021, Lazar Law is stepping into Yellow.

What better way to debut our 2021 color than with a new Lazar Law logo? Here she is – our modern, dynamic brand representing a new virtual era. We’ve named her Stella. She is a stealth bomber. Look out for Stella in 2021.

And so, we are looking forward as we close the door on 2020. Make sure to reply with your updated mailing address if you have changed addresses this year; we want our New Years Card to reach you!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS – be good to yourselves and stay safe; enjoy this time. We are grateful for you!

Be Bold,

Jodi

FEATURING AUSTIN

INTRODUCING LIZ NENNINGER, VISUAL DESIGNER

Our newest collaborator is Austin-based visual designer Liz Nenninger.

We have spent years working with different advertising and creative agencies to try to update and modernize our logo and branding and never getting a design we were happy with. For a modern brand that didn’t scream law firm, we learned we had to go a different with. For a modern brand that didn’t scream law firm, we learned we had to go a different route. We took to Facebook, searched Austin Facebook groups of graphic designers and set out to look at their websites and Instagram feeds. And voilà, the designs of Liz Nenninger caught our eye. She was local, her designs were fun and vibrant and crisp, and captured an Austin vibe.

Turns out we have found Liz early in her visual design career. She is a 2019 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design. Graphic design is her freelance job, and she is building her portfolio. What firm after firm was unable to do for us, Liz was able to create a defining image for Lazar Law in a matter of weeks.

Liz gets us and she delivers. We are so excited to continue our collaboration for all our brand identity and editorial design in 2021.
